Reinforced Soil Wall Method RRR-A Method

Reinforced earth bridge abutment method

The RRR method (Reinforced Railroad with Rigid Facing-Method) is a new soil retention (reinforced soil wall) technique developed as an alternative to traditional retaining wall methods, using the principles of reinforced soil engineering. Traditional retaining walls are structures that, from a mechanical perspective, aim to support external forces (earth pressure) exerted by the soil through the weight of the structure and the ground reaction of the foundation, opposing the soil and relying on force to counteract force. In contrast, the reinforced soil wall method promotes the stabilization of the soil itself by placing tensile reinforcement materials within the soil, embodying a philosophy of coexistence with the soil.

Reinforced Soil Wall Method RRR-C Method

Cutting soil reinforced earth wall method

The RRR method (Reinforced Railroad with Rigid Facing-Method) is a new soil retention technique (reinforced soil wall) developed as an alternative to traditional retaining wall methods, utilizing the principles of reinforced soil engineering. Traditional retaining walls are structures that, from a mechanical perspective, aim to support external forces (earth pressure) exerted by the soil through the weight of the structure and the ground reaction of the foundation, opposing the soil and embodying a philosophy of countering force with force. In contrast, the reinforced soil wall method promotes the stabilization of the soil itself by placing tensile reinforcement materials within the soil, representing a structural philosophy that seeks to coexist with the soil.

RRR method

It is widely used in general embankments, retaining walls, coastal areas, reservoir banks, and bridge abutments!

The "RRR Method" includes four construction methods such as the reinforced soil bridge pier method "RRR-A," which reinforces the fill for installation and integrates it with the bridge pier. "RRR-B" is a reinforced soil retaining wall method that constructs a retaining wall with a vertical and rigid integrated wall surface using geotextile-reinforced fill. Additionally, there is the existing slope steepening method "RRR-C," which stabilizes existing fill and natural slopes into steep gradients using large-diameter reinforcement materials and a rigid wall surface. 【Types】 ■ RRR-A Reinforced Soil Bridge Pier Method ■ RRR-B Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall Method ■ RRR-C Existing Slope Steepening Method ■ RRR-D Waterside Disaster Prevention Reinforced Fill Method *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
